The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Cadette Girl Scout (grades 6-8) can earn. It is a leadership and service award that recognizes a scout’s dedication to making a lasting impact in their community; it encompasses a Take-Action project that is an elevated version of a community service effort. The idea is to target and create a unique, impactful solution to an issue in the community.
Creating Confidence was created to spread body positivity, self-esteem, and improve the confidence and mindsets of millions of youth and adolescents that struggle with these formidable physical and mental health related issues. By sharing imperative skills and knowledge that will assist younger generations throughout their lives and remedy the constant, overwhelming body dissatisfaction that so many middle and high schoolers struggle with.
Creating Confidence intends to address body dissatisfaction and self esteem issues in youth and teens. Spreading awareness of the dangers of comparison, a significant root cause of negative mindsets, and providing the tools to overcome these mental struggles, is an important education that all younger generations should receive - and now they can with our initiative. This matter is important because the mental health of adolescents can be seriously affected by self esteem, and too many young boys and girls relate to feelings of dissatisfaction and resentment when referring to their appearances. Teaching how to combat comparison as well as how to achieve the best physical and mental state will lower this world-wide self hatred and pave the way for self love. This website is written and researched for by teens of the 21st century, meaning that we are the best equipped to represent this generation of teens and children who struggle with body positivity and appearance. On this site, we help inform those who are struggling or know someone struggling, and can hopefully share the love! Whether you are a concerned parent or guardian, or a teen who wants to learn how to fix their physical and mental state, everyone can benefit from learning how to combat comparison and curate their own confidence!
