Want to get involved in the Community but don't know where to start?
Come join us on the Hillsborough Girl Scouts Service Unit Team.
As a team we help put together programming for Hillsborough Girl Scouts, put together training for Girl Scouts and Adults and we have a lot of fun doing it.

Administrative Contacts

Service Unit Managers oversee the operations of the entire service unit and report to Council.
Maintains SU financials, available to answer questions about troop finances. See Troop Finances page for more information.
Assists with issues & questions regarding online registration and maintains SU registration records.
Assists with recruiting opportunities across the community
New girl/troop liaison to GSHNJ Council in North Branch.
The IRM Support Coordinator is available to help Girl Scouts who are participating outside of a traditional troop setting through the IRM (Juliette) Program.
Maintains and updates SU72 website. Note: All flyers must be approved by the Service Unit Managers before being posted.
Works with SU72 Team and troops to promote SU72 activities in local media

Represent Service Unit 72 at Association Meetings regarding GS policies. Two-year term.
Activity Chairs/Coordinators
Approves all troop camping trips & coordinates annual overnight camping trip with committee members; available to assist with questions about outdoor-related experiences. See Outdoors page for activity information.
Relays service opportunities to the service unit community, acts as an initial point of contact for new opportunities. Available to assist with service-Service related questions. Promote and organize service opportunities for Scouts; oversees all service project submissions & questions regarding project ideas. See the Service page for more information.
Oversees the annual Awards night in June; available to answer questions about SU72 Community Service Award and GSUSA Higher Awards. See the Awards/Scholarships page for more information.
Plan our annual SU Camporee
Plan Girl Scout Level specific and multi-level events to bring members together to complete a badge or just have fun
Scholarship Committee - Susan Parola (Chair), Heather Bruchey, Lucy Eichenblatt, Jennifer Bordieri, Jill Darby, Connielyn Rief
Review submissions and select recipients for any service unit-sponsored scholarships. For high school scholarships, committee members may not have a Girl Scout of high school age or oversee a Senior/Ambassador troop. See the Awards/Scholarships page for more information.
World Thinking Day (WTD) - Debbie Fox, Ellen McCloskey, Pam Weintraub, Me'Lissa Morgan-Convery
World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship and has been celebrated annually by GSUSA on February 22nd, since 1926. It is a day when Girl Scouts around the world think about their sister Girl Scouts, the meaning of Girl Scouts/Guiding, and our Global impact. In Hillsborough, our Service Unit celebrates World Thinking Day with an annual event where Troops research country facts and culture, create a presentation about their country, learn about other countries, and participate in achieving the annual WTD patch.
Leader Appreciation Chairs - Jennifer Sariano & Melissa Paloti
GSUSA celebrates Leader Appreciation on April 22nd each year. The Leader Appreciation Chairs organize an event near the end of April for leaders and their daughters to thank them for their service to the Girl Scout community.
Did you know we have dedicated display cases located at the Municipal Building just for Girl Scouts?! Interested girls or troops can reserve space to creatively display topics related to GS journeys, awards, service, outdoor, etc.
Fundraising
Coordinates Fall nut/magazine sale & Troop Nut Manager training to ensure successful event.
Coordinates troop cookie booth sales at local places of business & distributes girl earned incentives to troops.
Coordinates spring sale event offering discount Hershey Park tickets to Girl Scout families & friends in MARCH.
Coordinates the semi-annual spiritwear sale.
