Types of Awards

• Bronze, Silver and Gold Award Submissions – If you or your troop earned the Bronze, Silver or Gold Award, don't forget to complete the required Council documentation (see the links below).  In addition, check back in April 2026 to complete a form for our SU so that we can recognize you at our next Court of Awards.

• National Leadership and Mentoring Awards – Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts can earn other leadership and mentoring awards (click on your level for more details and to see if you qualify).  If you earn any of these awards, check back in April 2026 to complete a form for our SU so that we can recognize you at our next Court of Awards.

• SU 72 Community Service Award – All level Girl Scouts are eligible to earn this Service Unit 72 award patch for volunteering at 5 or more specific community service events sponsored by Hillsborough SU72 Girl Scouts (see the Service Opportunities tracker for eligible activities).  If you qualify for this award, check back in April 2026 to complete a form for our SU so that we can recognize you at our next Court of Awards

• Hearts of Service Award - The Hearts of Service Award program is sponsored by and specific to our Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) Council that tracks and recognizes any volunteer service hours that girls at all levels perform as Girl Scouts. This award is earned individually. It can be earned once per Girl Scout level and there are different requirements to earn the award based on the level starting at 5 hours for a Daisy and up to 30 hours for an Ambassador).  Refer to THIS SECTION of the GSHNJ Council website for more details and the necessary Council paperwork (scroll down to the Hearts of Service tab).
