Back to Troop! If you have not yet re-registered for the 2024-25 membership year, please do this quickly. Registration is completed via the myGS system.
Nuts/Magazines sales will start on 9/18 and end on 10/29. Additional information will be coming over the next few weeks directly from our Fall Product team (nuts@borogirlscouts.org.)
Please make sure you have re-registered as the system will be loaded on 9/3. It will be much easier for your Troop Leader/Nut Manager if you are registered/re-registered no later than Sept 2.
Troop Nut Manager for Council's Fall Product Program Troop Training 09/07/2024 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Registration Link. Whoever is handling nuts for your troop should attend this training. We HIGHLY encourage new leaders / nut managers to attend.

Join Gold Award candidate Emma L., as she raises awareness about a local teen shelter on September 21st 3 - 4:30 PM at Docherty Park. Participants will be making crafts, cards and blankets to share with the shelter. Details on this flyer. (Brownies and Juniors)
Join Silver Award candidates for the Creating Confidence Body Positivity and Mental Health Workshop on September 21st 1:30- 5:00 PM at Hillsborough Municipal Building MPR. Register here.
Recruitment meeting - Monday, September 23rd, 6 pm, at Hillsborough Middle School cafeteria. Please spread the word with any Hillsborough friends interested in joining Girl Scouts. We are especially looking for adults to co-lead new troops. If they have not done so yet or are unable to attend the meeting, please ask them to fill out THIS INTEREST FORM so we can contact them.
Halloween Costume Drop Off (9/26) Girls are encouraged to donate either new or gently worn Halloween costumes towards the town’s costume exchange. Service will be collecting costumes between 6:30p and 7:30p at the Library Program Room A but girls may also drop off at 51 Michelle Lane up to 9/26
SERVICE: Costume Exchange Volunteers (C/S/A) 9/28/24 9 AM - 11 AM SIGN UP FULL: Hillsborough Parks and Rec is also looking for four girl volunteers (Cadettes and higher) to assist at their Halloween Costume Exchange. We need two background checked and registered adults to supervise as well or else the girls cannot volunteer. Please sign up here.

SERVICE: Sunnymead HSA Event (J2/C/S/A) 10/2/2024 5:45 - 8:30 PM: Sunnymead Elementary School's HSA is looking for Girl Scouts in 5th grade or older (second year Juniors and higher) to assist with their event. Girl Scouts will help kids make crafts and take/print pictures of kids with the school's mascot. ADULT RATIOS ARE REQUIRED. Sign up here.
SERVICE: Pink Pumpkin Painting - (All Levels) 10/6 SIGN UP FULL GIRLS MAY PARTICIPATE ON THEIR OWN FOR CREDIT- Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month by painting pink pumpkins, making crafts, and donating gift bags to chemo patients. All levels are welcome to donate a chemo bag and decorate the event. This event is $7 per girl to cover supplies, including a craft to take home. Electronic payment is required to guarantee your spot. We are also looking for C/S/A girls to volunteer as well which can be submitted on the registration form. 2024 Fall Camp Skills - Sunday October 13, 2024 (NOTE: Date change) from 1-4 pm, Camp Agnes Dewitt in Hillsborough Come enjoy the fun of camping - without the overnight! We will have a variety of activities to help you learn about camping: packing, tent building, hiking, skill building, and the ever-popular box oven bake-off where the team with the tastiest cake wins! Bring your best Girl Scout spirit, positive energy, and a willingness to try some new-to-you activities. Can’t make it the whole day? Join us for what you can do! Open to Brownies through Ambassadors, $15/girl participant includes all supplies and a really cool patch, and $6/adult over ratio requirements to cover the Dewitt fee. REGISTER HERE. SERVICE: Help for the 2024 Fall Camp Skills: We need Senior/Ambassador girls and adult helpers to run stations. You should plan to be present from 1230 PM to 430 PM to setup/cleanup - sign up HERE.
2024 All for Fall - Investiture, Rededication, Bridging - Sunday October 20, 2024 from 2-4pm, Hillsborough Municipal Building. Join us for an annual Hillsborough Girl Scout tradition as we invest our new Girl Scouts and Leaders, rededicate ourselves to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and bridge our girls as they move up in their Girl Scouting levels. We’ll also honor and celebrate our founder Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday with a service project and a dessert social! Register HERE by October 5th (form will close when capacity is reached). There is no cost for the event however we ask each troop to bring a contribution for the dessert social that you can sign up for on the registration form. Have Questions? SERVICE: Hillsborough Trunk or Treat (C/S/A) 10/26/24 1:30 - 2:30 PM SIGN UP FULL- Hillsborough Parks & Rec is also looking for C/S/A girls to assist at the annual Trunk or Treat event by handing out goody bags and collecting votes for "Best Trunk". ADULT RATIOS ARE REQUIRED! Please sign up here.
SERVICE: Halloween Parades D/B (10/26 & 10/27) - Younger girls will wear their cutest costumes as they parade around our town’s assisted living facilities.

SERVICE: Pollinator Garden Fall Shut Down - Monday November 4 - 4:30pm: Help out putting the Pollinator Garden to bed for the winter. Needing 8 strong girls who are willing to get down and dirty to help us shut down the garden. She'll learn great garden-care skills while working together with others to care for a garden that has been thriving under our GS SU72 care for the past 7 years! Sign up closes 11/1. Family Ramblers Hiking Club: a Council-run special interest group for Girl Scouts and their family members. Ramblers hike on their own as a family, exploring trails and swapping their adventures, resources, and trail reviews. Review the information here Questions?
